How do you unlock a great ball in pokemon diamond?

I went to Sandgem Town which is the first town I visit to confirm my gain upon a starter pokemon. I went to Jubilife City and the pokemarts in the beginning aren't selling any great balls. Where could you purchase great balls from?

Just beat the first gym leader then they will be in the PokeMarts..

great balls won't be available until after you've beaten a gym leader or two.

Just play the game for a little while. You wouldn't really need them yet as you can still catch everything that you need with a Poke ball so you should just play the game a little more
