The only reason why I may literally be buying this game is because they are bringing back Generation I characters and adding a whole new storyline to the game because I really didn't care too much for Black&White 1 after I finished the story mode play through.

Can't wait to pit some Unova pokemon against the Kanto Gym Leaders!

Couldn't they have made it for 3DS? The whole online gaming thing would be much smoother. I also want to catch that wild Eevee!!!

Sure, great idea. Then it'd look exactly like Gen VI, there'd be design problems from the beginning AND a plethora of compatibility issues!

Well, when I think of a 3D Pokemon game, I think of graphics from the Gamecube and Wii Pokemon games, like Battle Revolution and Gale of Darkness. And also, I don't like complicated words like plethora!

I don't like simple words like "loads". So there.
But yeah, if Gen VI followed Colosseum's style that'd be great. Being in the whole game developer's scene myself, I know that for a brand new system they'd need to use Gen VI's engines. Game Freak wouldn't make an entire new engine for 3DS, make it compatible with BW just for two games so they could please a small niche of fans.
Also, it's a direct sequel to Black/White.
