    What would change if...?

What would change if Tentacruel's Defence and Special Defence stats were switched?
Would it be more commonly seen or less commonly or would it be seen the same amount in competitive battle? Why?

    Does it really matter?
It's the same thing but the other way around?
SP would just take him down faster than Attacks.

Well, what you have to look at is what tends to scare Tentacruel away from the spotlight usually. The main scares for Tentacruel are Earthquake, Earth Power, Thunderbolt and Thunder. Earth Power is relatively uncommon, seen usually on Heatran and Celebi, the latter of which is not commonly seen due to its multitude of weaknesses. Thunder is only seen on rain teams, which are now becoming common, but Tentacruel can run an efficient Rain stall and, more often than not, Tentacruel's team members are adequately prepared for Pokemon like Thundurus-T. As for Thunderbolt, it is more common than the other two moves talked about, but it usually is run on frail Pokemon, like Starmie and Jolteon, and it is comparatively weak in strength. This leaves the ever-so-common Earthquake as the primary threat to Tentacruel. So, if we switched Tentacruel's Defence and Special Defence stat, it should allow it to take more Earthquakes. However, it makes Thunderbolt more threatening and it would probably ensure an OHKO from Thunder. So, I was wondering what people thought would happen to Tentacruel usage if this stat switch occurred and resulted in these kinds of threat switches.
