Let's Playing a game that just came out
>Using Rom
You do know that there's hardware for you to actually record
DS footage via USB?
I really hate it when people do that, but hey easy views right and it's pokemon so it's not like you need to know what's gonna happen in the game. LPing is, well what it used to mean, was a game that you had an experience with. Basically the Water Cooler conversation.
Quoting Chip and Ironicus' Tubmlr page:
"Developers have spent decades building more compelling and involving single-player games and campaigns, and I love them for it. It’s the sort of play I spend at least 90% of my videogame time with, but that’s not the whole experience. After you play Bastion, you go talk about Bastion, and you seek out others who played Bastion, and now you can watch some guy you’ve never met play Bastion. LP is about making a social connection, and sharing what was meant to be a solo experience."(General Ironicus)
You see with rushed ASAP lps you don't have that exeperince because not a lot of people have played it. This is why the 3 month rule is applied to something awful. It gives you and the viewers time to get the game, play it and experience it. Of course this is Poekmon so a bunch of people will eagerly buy the games.
I'm sure this is just me and my attitude towards a lot of LPers on Youtube.( most of the ones I watch originated from Something Awful and started uploading videos on youtube for viewer convenience.) I'm most certain you'll find more fans then haters. Some people will like your video for posting it ASAP(most people do on youtube)
This may rather be negative, but this is the internet and by posting any creative content you are open for criticism, good or bad. To which more often bad is better than good. Well depends on what "bad" is if they complain about quality and what not and if it IS bad in quality then yes that is good because they are trying to help you.(So I think that would be good more than bad)
I'm always oepn for criticism on any work that I do outside the net and in the net.
I'll give you props for having Far better quality than most pokemon LPs I've seen though.
