I stopped playing and went back to Dual strike. It was a far superior game.

Really? I played Dual Strike, but i never thought it was superior. I actually liked the balance of power in Days of Ruin better. The CO powers aren't quite as game ending. I also like the art style better. Its edgier than the older titles.

The balance of power was fine. But the cutback on diversity bored me. There was like 12 Co's or so as apposed to the 30 or so in Dual strike. They removed pipes in design maps which were extremely useful and fun. The shop was completely removed, they got rid of survival mode, combat mode, CO level ups, made all the units of different factions look the same and added Anti-Tanks which I always found were a bit overpowered.

I didn't mind the Days of Ruin Art style but the colorful style was mode appealing to me.

Oh that's right! I totally forgot about all those little features in Dual strike! I need to play that again... thanks for reminding me:D I'll be able to make a real verdict later, once i've re-experienced it. But there's no denying that Days of Ruin has some amazing music... Brenner and will had my fav.

Oh yeah! And I loved Penny as a character and her music was really cool (It reminded me of a Daft Punk song). I mean, the game wasn't BAD. I just found it a slight downgrade compared to it's earlier title. 50 design maps was great but without pipes I couldn't make anything too interesting.

Also, Dual strike had some super catchy tunes. Lash and Grit come to mind instantly.

Yeah, i suppose the deficit of pipes was a small let down, but I think the plasma/meteor addition was great. I love the little design thing. Its so much fun to mess around with.

Ah dual strike was a great game i actually liked the combat mode. Other people i knew disliked it. And also i miss the old way of gaining Co power it was alot easier and some of the Cos had better powers like damaging your enemys units or even healing your own. One of my favorite units they didnt add to Days Of Ruin was the Nano Tank, i think it was called. That was a awesome tank. Call me lazy but i havent even beaten Days of Ruin yet. I do play alotta wi-fi with my friend so we can crush Ais.
