Animal crossing city folk help Plz

Ok i just bought Animal crossing city folk and im having troubles going to other people town. whats wrong is that i cant go to somebodys town i cant connect on wifi and click on there name and town but it wont let me go it loads and then says that i cant enter the town and when i open my gate it says they cant come PLZ help
