you all probably kno that if you bury money with the gold shovel then u might grow a money tree? well it ain't that simple. this table will hopefully explain.

Amount Buried Amount Tree Produces* % Chance of Successful Growth

1k--------------------3k------------------------1%
5k-------------------15k------------------------5%
10k------------------30k-----------------------10%
20k------------------60k-----------------------20%
30k------------------90k-----------------------30%
40k------------------90k-----------------------40%
50k------------------90k-----------------------50%
60k------------------90k-----------------------60%
70k------------------90k-----------------------70%
80k------------------90k-----------------------80%
90k------------------90k-----------------------90%
100k-----------------90k----------------------100%
110k-----------------90k----------------------100%
120k-----------------90k----------------------100%

so as u can see if u want a 100% chance of getting one... don't. you waste 10k..

*each tree has 3 bags so a tree made with 100k buried will have 3 bags of 30k = 90k

look at the table if u plant 1k then you onlly have 1% chance of it growing!

it should be noted that each money bags only holds up to 30,000 bells so planting 90,000 ony breaks you even

NO THEY DON'T. Sorry, but it's the same as AC:WW (I think) I wouldn't risk it if I were you. (Note: I dont have the game yet)
