Madison Wakefield
"Madison? Madison where are you?" Shea called out her daughter's name as she ran frantically around the port looking for her.
It was the first time Shea and Madison had been back to Harper's Island since their family and friends had been brutally murdered. They needed closure from the events that had happened and it took seven years for Shea to get up the courage to come back. Abby Mills and Jimmy Mance, who had moved to the island after the massacre and gotten married, are unaware of their arrival.
"I'm over here, Mom!" Madison called out as she waved from the hill where seven years ago, they had watched the entire port explode.
"Madison get back here! I don't want you exploring the area by yourself it gives me an uneasy feeling." Shea yelled as she walked towards the Cannery.
"Fine then, I won't." Madison ran down the hill and went into the Cannery just before her mother could. As soon as she entered the building she felt strange, an eerie feeling that made her feel woozy. All of a sudden it was just like seven years ago. John Wakefield was rushing in the door to the group of friends. Madison quickly shook her head and went over to Jimmy, who was behind the bar.
"Gimme a beer and two graham crackers, I know they're back there." Madison said in a joking manner towards Jimmy.
"Madison! What are you doing here? Where's Shea? Abby come in here!" Jimmy said his eyes wide with surprise and happiness.
"What is it, Jimmy?... Madison!..." Shea then walks in the building. "...Shea! What are you two doing here?" Abby says with a grin.
"We just thought we'd come here for a little visit, and to pay our respects." Shea said, still uneasy about the whole thing.
"Well how about you guys sit down, I'll have some hot chocolate coming your way in a second." Abby said as she walked into the kitchen.
Madison was getting that feeling again.. Out of nowhere the scene changed and she saw Nikki getting stabbed by Wak... No, this wasn't Wakefield and it wasn't Nikki... It was Madison, she was holding a knife and it was going through her mother's chest. Madison shook out of the vision to see she was laying on the floor and had apparently gone unconscious.
"Madison, honey, are you okay! Wake up!" Shea said as Abby brought over a wet rag.
"I-it was nothing, Mom. Just a little sick from the boat ride is all.." Madison quickly said trying to cover up the reason for her passing out and thinking about what was happening to her...
"Okay then... Here have some hot chocolate it will make you feel better." Shea helped her daughter up and gave her the cup of hot chocolate.
"Thanks, Mom but I'm not that thirsty." She was still deep in thought.
Madison and Shea chatted with Jimmy and Abby for a while, learning they had gotten married, were planning on having children, and that both of them had a thriving business in the Cannery and fishing.
"Be right back, I need to wash my hands off. I got a little hot chocolate on them..." Shea said as she got up and walked into the bathroom.
Madison had the feeling again. She closed her eyes as the vision took over. Wakefield was battling Shane, both trying to hit each other with knives... But it was different again. Madison instead of Wakefield, Jimmy instead of Shane... What was going on?
Madison opened her eyes to see her mother laying on the floor, blood coming from a wound in her chest. Her eyes widened as she saw that she had a knife to Jimmy's neck, ready to kill him. "What am I doing.." she thought, "What is going on..." Unable to control herself, Madison shoved the knife in the side of Jimmy's torso. Having barely any grasp on his life, Jimmy fell to the ground. "Abby next..." said a voice in Madison's head. She remembered the voice. John Wakefield.
"What are you doing in my head!!!" Madison screamed out, as Abby ran into the room with a gun, pointing it at Madison. "Madison... Do you know why I didn't harm you seven years ago?... I am your grandfather..." Wakefield said inside Madison's head.
"NO! Enough! What is wrong with me!" Madison yelled as she dropped the knife and grabbed her head. Abby lowered her gun and stared questionably at Madison.
"Shea had an affair with Henry, yes Henry, the one who killed your family, my son, and you were their child.." It sounded as if Wakefield was whispering into Madison's ear. "Now kill Abby... The job must be finished. What was started over twenty years ago..."
Wakefield took over Madison. She no longer had any control. Abby raised her gun, but she couldn't shoot. She couldn't shoot a sixteen year old girl.
"Madison! No!" Abby yelled.
Madison raised the knife... A scream... A swipe of a knife... Blood... Madison lay on the floor, bleeding. Her knife in hand, thrust into her stomach. As she laid, dying, the words that escaped her mouth were... "You won't win..."
