Most site users here are trashing the admins right now. I feel bad for them, because many people are saying only the admins knew and not to blame regular staff. This is not completely true. I'm regular staff, and I knew.

On the staff forums we were talking about April fools jokes. Brad, Tsun, Nin10dogc, me, and a lot of others were there. We were going to have Tsun be IP banned as the joke this year, because everyone knows him and would be really mad. In the conversation, we were talking about past FC jokes. Eventually Nin10dogc said:

When I read those two things I thought "I feel bad for Nintendo if we do this. They are going to get a bad rep and a lot of hat emails if we do this." but I didn't say anything. Then once the prank was in process and people started bashing Nintendo, I still didn't say anything. For this I apologize for not nipping it in the bud when I had the chance.

I'm not writing this to bash Nin10dogc or Tsun for thinking up the prank. I'm not even here to bash the admins for continuing it. I'm here to say one thing: it wasn't only admins who knew. If you want you can rant about me, I don't care, as long as your don't keep ripping Robert, Brad and co. to shreds.

Normally staff threads don't get shared to members, but I thought this was reason to make an acception. And no, Tsun personally told me he wasn't continuing the IP block prank either, because Robert said no more pranks.

One more thing: I've emailed Nintendo before, and I've always gotten a computerized response, not an actual email from customer support representatives. There is a good chance no one at Nintendo has read or heard a word of this.

In conclusion, I'm very sorry for not saying anything. Nintendo, I'm sorry you got so much hate mail. Admins, we'll take the blame with you.

I found that hilarious when me and Tsun were on AIM and told me. I was going along and Nintendo Elf looked astonished and wondered wtf was going on!
