I know Robert made that news article, but in reality, this whole thing was MY idea to begin with. I wrote up that thing that Brad posted, and I made the "Save FC" forum. I imagined, that although everyone would be upset, they would simply get over it. I didn't imagine that you would all send hate letters to Nintendo, and I thought that the Digg story would fail. I'm sorry for all the time and effort that was basically wasted for this joke. I also must say that I'm proud of what the members did. Had the situation been real, I have a feeling we would have come out on top. But I also understand that the members probably lost trust in us, which is simply unfortunate and NOT worth it.
I'm sorry to Nintendo, the members and staff, and the Digg community. As Robert said, no more jokes!
No!!!Have more jokes,if people cant handle a joke its there own problem. Most people I've heard from tought it was funny.I wish you could have finished it tough :(
Why is everyone 'accepting' Chris's apology as if he personally insulted each one of us?
I, for one, think that this April Fools prank was hilarious! I understand if people like Jessica89 was a bit annoyed because she put so much work into it, but when people start saying 'I demand an apology because I posted in the 'Save FC' forum!'... That's just ridiculous.
The only people who need an apology are Nintendo, for the fact it got a bit too out of hand, and that could have tarnished their reputation. For everyone else, that's what an April Fool's is all about, making you look like an idiot. Don't demand an apology for that, just get in the spirit and laugh.
I for one, do not accept your apology Chris, for the fact I think you are a complete genius and that no apology was needed.
I, on the other hand, will apologise to you, for not telling you this sooner. Chris. You rock.
Which is exactly why I'm not feeling obligated to apologize =) Well said sir.
