Ikaruga returns us to the long-forgotten period of arcade shooters, an age this reviewer personally misses. Sure, I didn't exactly grow up when arcade shoot 'em ups were popular, but they are insanely fun and challenging; it's easy to see why they made so much money back in the day. In an inteview with Kotaku, Nintendo producer Yoshio Sakamoto stated that no new Kid Icarus title was in development for Wii, but stated that any fans who would like to see such a game should speak up.
