I've always had an interest in flash. I've also always wanted to someday make a wacky flash cartoon similar to Tomorrow's Nobodies with me and my friends, because we can be pretty crazy sometimes. But we don't really know anyone who can animate and such, so it wont really work.

But then recently, I got an interest in flash and decided to try some basic animations.

The first one is a happy face going through an underground tunnel. I was just testing some basic motion and such.

The second one is a little more complex, and I tested multiple motions. (only about 3 really, but still, I'm a beginner >.>) It's a flash version of me =)

He doesn't have much for hands, and really only his face is animated. But it turned out well for being one of my first animations.

It took me a little while to make these. There was a lot of trial and error. But I think I'm already starting to get the hang of things. Let me know what you think =)

It's pretty good for a beginner but people usally learn to do computer art before flash.

Wow nice job I tried flash along time ago but, I failed. I kept trying and I just wasn't good at it, so I went to spriting and I rock at that.
Good job keep it up.

Computer art? As in Photoshop and digital art and photo manipulation and all that fun stuff? I already do that stuff. =)

I know that. But I like to think that I'm the best. Cos I am. I'm just to lazy to make any more sprites. Mainly cos I am making animations and other work.

I updated it slightly by making the hair look better. I though it looked weird that everything had a black outline except the hair. This looks smoother I think:

I've thought about making sprite animations, but I see a lot of that, and I kind of want to work on original cartoons and such. I dunno, I'll have to experiment a little.

Ok. Not bad.

I use flash so I don't want to be to hard....

The first one is good. Trying easing your motion tweens (100 out). It gives more of a realistic feel. I've been using flash for over 2 years now and I haven't done an animation in over a year because i keep finding things to work on and improving my skills. Check out newgrounds and even devart (deviantart) for some ideas and inspiration.

The second one I thought was more of a "drawing" based animation. Reminds me of when I first started XD. But if you have a scanner, draw somethings on paper and scan it and import into flash. Then use the line or pen tool and trace the lines. Thats what I do.
