2012 Club Nintendo Reward

Club Nintendo members who achieved Platinum status in the past years have received awesome rewards which include a Mario Hat, a WiiWare title (Doc Louis's Punch-Out!!), a small figurine displaying Mario and other characters, and a set of pins. Those who reached the Gold status have always received calendars, and this year will be not exception. However, Gold members have the choice of the calendar or a downloadable video game. The available games are Super Mario Kart, Metroid II: Return of Samus, Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again, or The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. Anyway, people who reached Platinum status this year are eligible to receive the same Gold member rewards, or they can choose to receive either a set of limited edition Mario playing cards or a set of limited edition posters (they depict Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and Kid Icarus: Uprising respectively). People should redeem their rewards by July 31st, 2012.

I actually like the calendar, it makes a good addition to my room. It is also much easier than the typical wall calendar, no nails required.

a calander i dont use anyway
and the poser wouldnt last long in my house

Got the playing cards, I think I will just buy the calender off amazon or ebay. I have whole collection of calenders, and want to see what would be new this year.

i picked the playing cards. I can buy any of the games easily with cash, some with play coins even. Calendars are nice to look at but they serve no practical purpose after the year is over. Posters are great and I think I would wan one of each but I have enough of them already. I even have the legend of zelda 25th anniversary ones framed, so I don't want to pay for that again. That leaves the playing cards... which look nice enough.

Can the cards be used for normal card games like Hearts, Spades, and War? I was under the impression they were just a collectable item.
