• [3DS] Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission

Namco Bandai has recently announced that Dimps and themselves are currently developing a new Dragon Ball game for the Nintendo 3DS, Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission. The game is a port of the original Japan-only arcade game, Dragon Ball Hoshi, also known as Dragon Ball Heroes, which itself is based on the Dragon Ball playing card game. It will include more content than the arcade original, and features include a story mode, wireless capabilities, and is compatible with the arcade game which will be exclusive to the Japanese version if multiple region releases are announced. The game may include a line-up of over 200 characters and 800 cards to use in the game, though the player may only have 5 cards out at a time, which they pull out of their deck using the stylus. The game is Streetpass compatible, and can allow players to obtain additional cards.

A Japan release has been confirmed, though no information regarding an overseas release has yet been announced.

I hope someone has already pointed this out (the comments never load), but the arcade game is simply Dragon Ball Heroes. There is absolutely no official merchandise called Dragon Ball Hoshi. As well, the game isn't based on any DB trading cards; it's a game in Namdai's line of Data Carddass cabinets, which date back to the early 90's. The cards are based on and created for the game.

Anywho, this is probably not hitting the west. Carddass cabinets never do, and as such, there's little to advertise this as. Then again, Namdai might want a DB game on the 3DS worldwide, so all I can say is that is seems unlikely, but not impossible.

I am gonna wait to buy it if it comes to America. I was extremely disappointed by Ultimate Tenkaichi and I don't want to be disappointed again, even though this is for DS so it is significantly different, but if it is anything like UT I won't buy it.

Cards? Oh, I was looking foward to it if it was just plain DBZ style gameplay.

Remember that the Budokai HD Collection is coming out soon, that should keep people occupied until the next big DB game is released.
