Several new features have been added to this next installment in the Harvest Moon series, such as the ability to customize your farm and towns in the game to your liking, which is new to the series. Players can customize their character's features, change their hairstyle at the hair stylist, and being able to purchase new clothes for your character at the tailor. Instead of purchasing furniture, you can build your own furniture if you have the supplies necessary and instructions. You can now date the bachelor or bachelorette that you're after, before marrying them. You will give them a ring to begin the dating process, but the Blue Feather is still used to propose, like most traditional Harvest Moon games. You will also be able to have honeymoons and vacations at 5 different places. We also have four new crops and animals, including: cotton, cacti, yaks, and llamas. In addition all crops can be moved if you don't happen to like where your crops are located.
Harvest Moon: A New Beginning had a Japanese release earlier this year on February 23, but no information regarding a European release has been revealed.
