New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the Nintendo 3DS is all about gold. The gold fire flower item turns enemies and bricks into gold coins. There are special gold enemies that leave behind a huge trail of coins. There are gold pipes that lead to areas filled with coins. And finally, there are special downloadable Coin Rush stages that players can purchase with gold (though charge cards are preferable). Anyways, people who preorder New Super Mario Bros. 2 from Gamestop stores will receive a gold Mario pin. With all this gold, one has to wonder where is Wario.

Once the game is over and Mario collects 1,000,000 coins, Wario shows up and steals them from Mario
