• Kingdom Hearts Returns to Consoles

    Looks like Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance's lower-than-expected sales put the company down a bit, as Kingdom Hearts creator Tetsuya Nomura has explicitly stated that he would like to gear Kingdom Hearts back towards its original roots in the console platforms. Tetsuya also has some thoughts on possibly bringing back the older games into HD versions, and is 'currently researching' the possibility of doing such things with the older games.

    Sounds like a new, highly developed game might be in the works for one of our current platforms, or maybe a new, 4G platform? Unfortunately, it remains to be seen.

      There really is no need to make a game for PSVita. This is my favorite gaming franchise, and I love it despite it's wide spread across consoles + handhelds, but others might not feel the same. If they can keep KH on a smaller range of systems, marketing can increase, fans will be delighted...everyone happy.

      Instead of wasting time and money on spin-offs (Which i'm glad it didn't sell as expected, I know it sounds harsh, but that weirdo must realize, that it's enough of that), he must complete the game that everyone it's expecting: Final Fantasy Versus XIII. FF XII and FFXIII-2, were decent RPGs, but weren't FF games, in my opinion... So FFVSXIII could push up the franchise again, and restore my love to the series. After that, he should do Kingdom Hearts III, and must include the Sexy Lara Croft, and the great Spidey. I'd pre-order it, if they would do that. And not concentrate so much in graphics, and more in gameplay and level design. That's what lackesdin the recent FF games...

      Shame about DDD not selling as well as expected. But I'm still pumped for it as it ties up a lot of loose ends and sets the story up for KH3.

      I'm happy that he's getting back to making a console game though cause I think it's finally time to wrap up the xehanort saga.

      The new game sounds great. I'm surprised its possible that the game will be on a lot of consoles, instead of just sticking to one.
