Limited Edition The Last Story

The last North American Nintendo Direct announcement gave relief to RPG fans as game developer XSEED Games plans on bringing the highly acclaimed The Last Story to North America. Aside from releasing the game in North America, XSEED Games is now trying to get a limited edition bundle in addition to the standard packaging. Europe received a limited edition bundle which included a SteelBook storage case, a soundtrack CD, and an art booklet. It should be noted that Nintendo handled the publication of the game in Europe. It is unknown if XSEED Games will follow the same suit.

XSEED Games is trying to have The Last Story release around July (various retailers currently list the game as having a July 10 release), but the game publisher cannot give a definite date.

I disagree, the voice acting was awesome. If anything, I thought Zeal was poorly voiced. I hope I can get my hands on the limited edition this time ^^

This honestly looks like it could be a Square Enix/Soft game. Just judging by the cover :P To me it looks like it.

sooo pretty~ I really hope the pre-order for this game is just like the Europe release. Xenoblade was a bit of a let down with the pre-order book ;/ awesome game tho!

Well, that's because it basically is a Square Soft game. The people behind this game(Mistwalker) are former Square Soft employees. Hironobu Sakaguchi, head of Mistwalker, was Square Soft president and creator/director/producer of the FF games. He also produced other well-known Square Soft games such as Chrono Trigger, Vagrant Story, FF Tactics, Parasite Eve, Kingdom Hearts. He and several others left the company to go start Mistwalker Studio soon after Enix bought out Square Soft.

I already have the European version of the limited edition but if NA is offering a limited edition too, I'm picking it up. Hoping to hear more from XSEED soon.

Wait, is XSEED trying to give it this release or not? The article contradicts itself by saying "XSEED is trying to get a limited edition bundle" and "It's unknown if XSEED will follow suit [with Nintendo]". Either way, I'll get the LE if it's reasonably priced (and if it comes out at all).

Seriously though the limited edition package... thing looks amazing. I hope I can get a chance to pre-order this soon
