A few days ago, game designer and director Eiji Aonuma sent out a handwritten message via the Swapnote app for the 3DS saying:
"Hello, this is Aonuma, Nintendo's Legend of Zelda producer. Did you enjoy The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D? Thanks to everyone, the Legend of Zelda series had a very happy 25th anniversary. I hope you're looking forward to new Legend of Zelda games." The message was sent with Zelda stationary decorated with classic sprites as shown in the picture below.
Nintendo has already confirmed another Legend of Zelda game in the making, a 3DS exclusive in particular. They mention that it will not be a sequel or remake, but in addition they are also considering a remake of
Majora's Mask afterwards. This message also hints with the use of the word "games". Not just one game, but more. However, this could also be supporting something completely different. Maybe we'll find out at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June, or perhaps even earlier.
