The long running Nintendo Power will be shutting down and ceasing it's publication of magazines according to a report from Ars Technica. Editors and staff from Future Publishing, who are responsible for Nintendo Power were informed last week and will be moved to other properties of Future Publishing including GamesRadar and MacLife magazine. According to an interview with Future Publishing staff members, Nintendo was always "difficult to work with" and apparently Nintendo hasn't shown interest in renewing a contract or publishing the magazine itself.
“...uninterested in renewing that contract or in taking part in a number of digital initiatives that Future saw as necessary for the long-term health of the brand.”

Future Publishing has been publishing Nintendo Power since 2007 on a contract agreement, the magazine itself has been giving helpful tips and information about Nintendo games for 24 years since it's debut in 1988 and since then has been one of the longest running magazines in the country.
