• [RUMOR] Possible New Wii U Functions

    Recent news has told us that the developers of the Wii U have already received the final versions of the development kits to create and produce the console, but we aren't quite sure exactly what will be added to the Wii U with these new kits. A source from the Neogaf forums states that the development kits allows for quite a few new things, and this is the list they provided;

    • Out-of-game Voice Chat
    • Facial Recognition (somewhat similar to the XBox Kinect)
    • Availability of the suspension of games
    • Achievement sharing, which will allow players to let others view your awards and achievements
    • Video sharing, which will allow players to watch others play online
    • Multitasking, which will allow players to open a chat box while playing a game


    What do you think of these possible functions? Will they be plausible, and if so, will they drastically change the way games are played, or if not, why?

      video sharing? like showing you actually playing the game... or just the game screen itself.

      You get to see the other person's game, meaning showing you the game screen while you play.

      That sounds great, if true. Bout time Nintendo show more appeal towards online gaming. I hope they continue the free online play thou.

      This would be completely amazing. Knowing Nintendo however they would make the features seem too childish for grown gamers.

      I like the idea of game suspension, if it's anything like save states on emulators, only less glitchy.

      Game suspension sounds very likely as we saw it on the 3DS. It's super handy for sure.
      Not sure about the other features knowing how silly ninty can be about these things, but still possible!
