    THQ has recently released a teaser trailer for the upcoming Darksiders II, sequel to their critically acclaimed game Darksiders. This is an action adventure in which the player takes the role of Death, who is one of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse. In the first game you played Death's brother, War. This game is supposed to take place at almost the same time as it's predecessor, so hopefully it will be very easy to get into the story if this is your first game in the series.




    Darksiders II was one of the very first games confirmed to be coming to the Wii U, having been announced at E3 of 2011. Seeing how THQ has met with some serious financial trouble recently, this may be the game that gets the developer back on track, and will hopefully keep them providing more great third party games for the Wii U!

    This game is set to release in August of this year for the Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. We have yet to hear of a release date for the Wii U version, but it is expected to be withing the launch window of the upcoming console.

      This trailer is pretty sweet. I'm psyched for the game, because the first one was awesome. Good Luck to THQ, i hope this game helps them out a lot.

      I'm not too worried about THQ as, as weird as this sounds, they have a new South Park game out later this year that I expect will sell well and help get them back on track - though this, admittedly, will also help especially if they've expanded their market to Wii-U users too.

      The trailer itself, like all of the trailers for this game, have looked pretty good and I'm very temped to get the game but as much as the first game appealed to me, and looked great, I didn't really enjoy it. I mean, granted, I didn't play it for long enough to probably get into it but the gameplay just didn't do it for me. Hopefully a new character, Death this time, will be enough to lure me back in. Also, as you said, I hope it'll be easy to get into the story without playing the first, though if events occur at the same time I assume it'll be irrelevant what happened in the first as it will still be happening in this game, if that makes any sense at all? :P

      Heheh, yeah, that South Park game actually looks really good. I might have to buy it!
