Wii U Deluxe Preorders Sold Out

The Wii U, just recently announced to be released on November 18th, is already sold out of deluxe preorders only 5 days after being put up online. The basic set will be soon to follow as everyone scrambles to get their hands on at least that.

In the basic set, the console comes with just the system plus the gamepad, AC Adapter, High speed HDMI cable, a Wii U sensor bar and 8GB hard drive memory. The deluxe set, however, includes a charging cradle for the GamePad, stands for it and the console box, plus Nintendo Land mini games and quadrupled memory totaling 32GB. It’s also said to include a program which rewards players points for downloading digital content to be used for other future purchases.

The deluxe set is priced at $349, just $50 more than the basic, and it’s much nicer. Too bad the first stock of them is already gone!

This is truly disappointing, I would love to pre-order the wii U right now, but unfortunately I don't have the money and won't anytime time soon :'(

Good thing I reserved mine when I did four days ago at my local GameStop. I really thought there would be a scramble for the new Nintendo product this coming holiday season.

This may or may not have changed by the time I type this, but I think the Deluxe version can still be bought from the Walmart website, and even comes in a package deal that lets you choose an extra game, and second remote (either Wiimote, or Pro Controller).
