Wii/ Wii U Transfer

People who are trading in their Wii towards the purchase of a Wii U should be warned. The Wii will still be needed in order to transfer Miis, WiiWare, and Virtual Console games to the Wii U. The process is very much similar to the transfer between 3DS systems. People will need both Wii and Wii U systems to be connected online to the internet for this transfer to take place, and the Wii U will need an SD card. Finally, Nintendo has not mentioned whether or not this system transfer will be available on launch day. For people with no digital purchases, this should be an easy decision to make, but for those who have a collection of WiiWare and Virtual Console games, it is best to hold on to the Wii for now.

Ugh, this transition is so sloppy, this is by far my biggest gripe, though. Nintendo seriously needs an account system akin Xbox Live and PSN.

Why wouldn't you, if the Wii U can play your Wii games? That's like keeping the GC with the Wii... Controllers=yes,system=no.

but it will b a reason to keep ur old wiis cuz if you have the first will u can still play your gamecube games on it but u cant play them on the wii U thts y u should keep ur wii

More than likely will keep my Wii just to keep the chain going from NES to Wii right now, I want ALL consoles in my collection! MUAHAHA
