• Your Gateway To E3 2012

With E3 just around the corner, you may be asking yourself, where can I go to watch E3? Well, I decided to make sure everyone is up to speed with some of the many reliable options out there.

E3 will be taking place next month, from June 5th to the 7th, and Nintendo will giving their main presentation June 5th at 9 AM PDT, 5pm GMT. This will be the presentation that should unveil the final form of the Wii U, as well as most of Nintendo's new game announcements. Nintendo will also have a software showcase on June 6th.

Nintendo is providing us with an official live stream here: Official Site - Nintendo All-Access at E3 2012
You can also watch it live through Nintendo's official Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Nintendo/app_385608378148291

Another good option for online streaming coverage is GameTrailers.com, through their GT.TV channel: Online Video Game Trailer TV Show Episodes With Geoff Keighley | GameTrailers.com
This site will cover not only Nintendo presentations, but also Microsoft, Sony, and many of the third party developers as well.

For those who would prefer to use their television, you can watch E3 on SpikeTV, MTV2, and G4.

Lastly, for those who will be unable to watch the E3 presentations live, we here at friendcodes.com will try to keep everyone up to date with the latest info as its revealed.

You can also go to Nintendo Twitter and Youtube pages thougout E3 for news updates.

It always has to be during school. I'd like to watch it on live stream for once, but oh well, no big deal.

That's good there are good alternatives for watching E3, when you can't make it to the actual thing.

I'm a bit surprised Nintendo would offer free coverage of Sony and Microsoft, hm they must be trying to play it fair or are getting ad funding.

Does this mean that some of the staff will be reporting live from the convention center?

The official Nintendo links will only be covering the Nintendo related presentations.

If you want to see things for the other two consoles, or third party developers, you will need to use either GameTrailers, or G4.

No, unfortunately. In the last couple of years, E3 has really tightened their belt when it came to who they let in. It used to be that as long as you had a relatively popular news blog, or Youtube account, you could probably get in. Nowadays though, they mostly only let in official members of the press, along with people who actually work in the video game industry. Even then, you have to pay almost $1.000 to get your 3 day pass. :[

Yeah that's why I was a bit surprised by the last part, it would have been cool but...you know, unlikely.

hmm are you a rare fan? Nintendo appears to working with Rareware on a new title (surprisingly since Microsoft bought them out) not sure what it is yet though. I doubt it would be a new conquer or Banjo game though. I'm not to broken up about buying a Wii as I bought my red 25th anniv. ed. for $50.

'm a big fan of the games Rare made for SNES and N64, do you have a link? I think Rare is allowed to work on handheld games like the 3DS since Microsoft doesn't have a handheld system yet
