Dark sword

I am the wielder of this sword
The sword that has killed my homeland
The sword that has plunged my world into darkness
The sword that made kings bow down before me
Little did I know I am that sword
And I can not be stopped
Not even by the light

Through the last few weeks my land has seen unstopped destruction.
The people of my land have told me the cause.
A demonic beast of fire that survives on hate.
I left the people to their fate, as my heart is full of selfishness and loathing.
Soon I was the only one left.
The creature did not return.
Each day I came closer t losing my sanity, for I was alone.
My outer appearance altered to match my nature.
It turns out it is I who is the beast.

That light hasn't gone out. It just never can kill the darkness- contaminated soul that is in the mysterious sword. D=
