Biggest Regrets (My First Story)

Leon and Diana were best friends since Kindergarten. Now they're young adults in 10th grade. And as you could tell, they have a very strong friendship....

"Spring Break Party Day, the holiday I created back in First Grade to celebrate when me and Diana first met." Leon said to himself. Like most holidays, there's food, which Leon is currently making. "Diana comes in an hour..." Leon thought.

After the hour passed, he had finished cooking all but the Mac and Cheese. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Leon! I'm hereee!". Leon opens the door and finds Diana waiting. He greets her, and they both head to the kitchen. "Wow, you still make the food we loved back in First Grade!" Diana said as she eyed the Mac and Cheese. "Oh, I made everything!" Leon replied. "And the Mac and Cheese isn't ready yet."

"Oh yeah! I brought my gift! Where should I put it?" Diana said. Leon directed her to the counter, where his gift was also. "Well, lets eat, huh? Make sure you save room for the Mac and Cheese!" said Leon as they both sat down and started to eat. "I know I'm not a good cook, but I can still make the basics" Leon said. Diana replied, "Well, at least you're hosting the holiday this year. This is your first time remember?"

*SPARK*

"....Hey, did you hear something?" said Leon. Diana replied, "No what did it sound li-"

*FROOOOM!*

The Mac and Cheese pan burst into flames. "Oh my god! Hurry! Get SOMETHING to put out the fire!" Diana yelled as she panicked. Soon, the fire spread to their gifts. Leon managed to get a fire extinguisher, and quickly put out the flames. "Wow, I didn't... think I was.... that bad." Leon said panting.

"Our.... gifts.... they're all burned up...." Diana said quietly. "I - I'm sorry Diana.... It'll be okay, we can sti-" Diana cut him off. "Leon, it's not okay. It just isn't." Leon replies, "Huh...?" "it's not okay! It's not! You should have known that I should've hosted like every year! We both know you can't cook well! And do you even know how LONG it took me to find my gift, and how much it COSTS? And look what happened now!" Diana yelled. "I'm sorry, I-" "You know what Leon, sometimes you get on my nerves so much, I wish we never met!" Diana ran upstairs and sat down in the hallway. She started to cry. She opened a necklace, that was start-shaped. It had a picture of Leon and Diana when they were in First Grade. Diana just started to cry even more. She then covered her eyes, and the words, "I wish we never met!" were buzzing around in her head...

All of a sudden, there was a big flash of light....

Diana didn't seem to notice it at all, since she was busy crying. Sniffing, she headed downstairs to check on Leon.

"Leon.....?" she says with no answer. "Leon? ...... Leon!" She goes into the kitchen, and is shocked. The entire kitchen was remade. There wasn't even a burn stain on the stove and counter. "Wha-" before Diana could finish, her Mom called her. "Diana! Time for school! Let's go!" "Wait, doesn't Leon live here...?" Diana thought. She then walked into the living room, which has also been redesigned. "Diana! Let's go! You'll be late! Your things are on the sofa!" her Mom yelled out from the car outside. Diana quickly got her things, and went in the car to leave for school.

"Hey Mom, how long have we been living where we are now?" Diana asked. "Don't you remember? We moved there six years ago since you wanted to move next to your best friend, Shelby." she replied. "Shelby!?' Diana said in astonishment. "Shelby Steiner? She's such a jerk! She's so mean to me! Why would she be MY best friend? What happened to Leon?" "Well, all these years I thought she was your best friend... and I don't know who this Leon guy is. Oh! We're here! Hurry or you'll be late!" Diana then got out of the car, and started to head to the school.

"Diana! About freakin' time!" said a male, who apparently was in her grade. He pulled out a cigarette and started to smoke it. "And you are...?" Diana replied. "Oh, baby, you don't know me anymore? I'm your boyfriend!" he replied. "BOYFRIEND?" Diana said. He then tried to kiss her, then before he could she smacked him. "Wait, we're breaking up now?" "WE were never together in the first place." Diana said as she then backed off into the school.

"What's going on! My best friend is Shelby, I have a disgusting 'boyfriend', and it seems that.... I never met Leon... what's going ON!?" she thought to herself. "Di-Di! Get over here!". It was Shelby who called her, and Diana walked over to her. "HEY! You forgot to call me this morning! Didn't I tell you to call me every morning?" Diana replied, "What are you, my Mom? And we're not friends you know. Oh, and Leon is only allowed to call me Di-Di." "Oh, you're getting smart with me, huh? You broke up with your little boyfriend?" Shelby said in a teasing tone. "Yes, I did. And I'm ignoring you." Diana said as she walked off. "Di-Di.... is what Leon used to call me back in Kindergarten..." she said quietly to herself.

As the school day went on, Diana searched for Leon, with no luck. And also making sure she steers clear of Shelby, and her "boyfriend". And, she ends up finding out that she used to act just like Shelby before. Mean, selfish, and all of that. But Diana still doesn't have a clue on what happened...

"Crap.... it's the end of the day, and I can't find Leon...." Diana though. She found her Mom, and went home.

As soon as she entered her home, she just remembered something. "My necklace! His picture is in my necklace!" When she checked it, it was only a picture of her and Shelby instead. "His phone number!" She rushed over to the phone. All she received was a tone as if the number didn't exist. "Leon... where are you....?" Diana said in a worried tone.

She checked her room. Nothing Leon related. Cell Phone. Nothing. Laptop. Nothing. All of a sudden, there was a bang on the front door. (Warning, this part is sooo cheap IMO LoL) Someone yelled, "HEY, DIANA! THIS'LL TEACH YOU TO BREAK UP WITH ME!" "Oh no... it's him.... my so called ex-boyfriend...!" Diana said as she started to panic. "Ohhh... Leon! I need you! I can't handle this by myself! I can't handle anything without! Please! I want you back!" She yelled as she ran upstairs. Soon, her ex-boyfriend broke down the door.

Diana sat in the hallway, and cried. She had never cried this much in her life.

All of a sudden, everything went silent, except for Diana crying. Then, there was a big flash of light. And Diana didn't seem to notice, still crying....

"Diana...." a faint voice said. "Diana? ..... Diana!" "Leave me alone!" she replied. "I just want Leon back! " "Uh, but I'm right here...." Diana looked up and gasped in happiness. "Leon! Is that really you?" she said. Leon replied, "Who else would it be, huh? Anyway, I'm sorry about the fire, I'll-" Diana cut him off.

"You know what, I don't care anymore. Being with you is what matters to me most. And... I sorta realized... that... I'm in love with you Leon...." she then stood up, and quickly gave Leon a kiss. Then held on to him with a hug saying,

"Please don't leave me... ever again...."

EPILOGUE

•Diana explained to Leon everything that happened. And they quickly entered a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.

•They never left each other, no matter what happened. They also graduated from High School together.

•Not too long after graduation, they both headed off to college together, and they both had scholarships.

•After college, Leon and Diana quickly got married. They eventually had a daughter named Gracielia.

•Leon got a job on the Raccoon City Police Force, and Diana got a job as a Kindergarten teacher.

•Soon, Gracielia meets a boy named Chris. They become best friends while in Kindergarten. And you know what that means....
