Travellers
Bill pressed on the gas as hard as possible. He dialed his wife's cell phone with one hand, the other hand placed firmly on the leather covered steering wheel. His seat covers were drenched in hot tar, and the rest of his truch was as well.
Anna: Hello?
Bill: I just roasted a mark! (Mark; Traveller term for (target, conning someone)
Anna: For how much?
Bill: 10 Grand.
Anna: Are you kidding?
Bill: Nope, babe. Get the kids, we gotta get outta here. Close the holding tanks on the trailer. We're going to Florida.
Anna: Got it, hun. Hurry back.
Anna hung up the phone and immediatly started to pack the family's bags. Their teenaged sons were in the back room playing video games as she folded clothes and flung them into a suitcase.
Willy: What are you doing, mom?
Anna: You're dad just conned someone.
Willy: Niiiccceee! Do we have to go?
Anna: Yeah boys. Pack your things.
Willy: Please don't tell me we're goin' to Alabama again?
Anna: No, we've gotten too many people over there. Florida is our next stop.
Willy: It's so hard to believe da can get so much glan (Traveller slang for money) by tricking old people.
Anna: And the dumb.

Re: Travellers
Bill swerved into the camp they were parked in to see Anna, Parker, and Willy packing up the final bags into Anna's car. Bill began to connect the trailer to his truck. Anna ran into the camp office. The owner of the camp sat in a chair.
Anna: Hi. I need to pay our remaining rent. Family emergency, we need to leave.
Joyce: Oh no. We'll miss Peter (Parker) on karaoke night. Your balance is 3000$, Amy.
Anna gave Joyce the money from her purse and waved a final goodbye. Bill was already pulling out. Anna hopped into her car and followed after Bill. They hit the interstate. The drive was from Kentucky to Florida. Parker and Willy sat in the last two rows of the car. Parker lay in the back, while Willy listened to music in the middle row. It was already the afternoon, so they only drove for a few more hours.
The day faded to night as Anna called Bill.
Anna: I can't see well. We should stop for the night.
Bill: Okay. We'll stop soon. Just follow my lead.
Bill pulled of onto a Georgia exit. The trailer tilted as he beared right into a hotel parking lot. Bill walked inside while Anna, Parker, and Willy followed closely behind with an overnight bag packed.
Hotel Clerk: Hello. Welcome to the Best Western. I'm Missy.
Bill: Hi. We just need a two bed room.
Hotel Clerk: Is that all?
Bill: Yes.
Hotel Clerk: Your name?
Bill: George Wright.
Hotel Clerk: Will you be paying with cash or credit?
Bill: Cash.

Re: Travellers
Nice story so far, when they check in the hotel, I thought they were gonna buy a room for two, then sneak the kids in there.
