Back in the van, Rebecca was looking over the animus control panel, trying her best to reconfigure the settings. Shaun had put the van into auto-pilot and was now sat in the passenger seat, trying to find the cause of the malfunction through his laptop. Lucy was staring at Desmond's body, sitting in the animus. She couldn't bare the thought of losing him.
"Lucy, I think you should take a look at this." Shaun passed his laptop over to Lucy.
"But how?" She stared at the laptop, then turned towards Rebecca. "How can this be happening? The animus...It's loading."
Rebecca grabbed the laptop from Lucy as they exchanged a look of horror.
The animus loaded around Desmond. He took a quick look around, he seemed to be on a desert island.
"Lucy, where am I?" Desmond yelled at the top of his voixe, hoping that Lucy could hear him.
"I...Desmond, you aren't anywhere."
Desmond couldn't get his head around Lucy's words. "What do you mean?"
"The reading is off the scale. You appear to have been transported to another world, Desmond."
"Great..."
"Desmond, try looking around. If you can give us some information about where you are, we may be able to bring you back."
"I'll try, Lucy."
Desmond looked around the island and spotted a large tree house. He walked over to it and saw a rope ladder hanging over the side. Grabbing the ladder firmly in both hands, Desmond began to climb up. Just as he was about to reach the top of the ladder, a blue beach ball came out of nowhere and knocked against his head, causing him to lose his balance and fall to the ground.
