I posted this poem a while ago in the forums. Here's my first entry:
The Snowstorm
Snowflakes swirling through the air,
Chilling winds too cold to bear,
Darkness engulfing our very souls,
Unleashing a storm of demonic ghouls,
Furious winds, their anger strong,
I cover my face, for ever so long,
The cold is deadly, I’m about to freeze,
Delusions of home, mock and tease,
I can’t give up, I keep trudging on,
I’ll battle the storm until it is gone,
But the storm is relentless, I feel it inside,
The wind’s going against me, I’ll have to abide,
It whistles and it screeches, “Give up!” it said,
How much longer before I’m dead?
At last I give up, the battle is lost,
I fall to the ground, shivering in the frost,
I curl into a ball and close my eyes,
My thoughts are filled with hopeful lies.
