the dsi have bigger screens but the paint scratch easy and no gba brighter if your ds lite is dying though just call nintendo and tell them what wrong out warranty then it's 85 or 75 call and ask better than 120

THe DSI CAN play online games i do it with Mario cart and Pokemon FFEoT and may other games that are WiFI.

Lol, i never got a ds lite, couldnt afford another ds, my phat ds is still functioning great. When the lite came out i decided i should still wait even with trade in offers. Now seems like they added yet more features, and took some out. I might just wait again, see if they can make it yet slimmer and maybe some more options. Just like i keep seeing people repeat the message is same, technology is just going to get better, might as well wait if you have something that works.:rofl:

I have a DSi and you can close the screen and it will still play the music. The bad thing is the format has to be ACC or M4A so i use itunes to convert them

Just get a GBA if the no slot thing is too much of a problem. :/

If you have a Lite then it's not worth it. Especially if you're not trading it in and just shelling out the full retail price of $169.99. If you really want a new system, I'd keep the Lite and get a PSP 3000. Or wait for the PSP GO. :D The DSi is fun, but not worth the upgrade from the Lite. :)
