Wanna know what Capcom did? The best thing possible, obviously. Yup, that's right, they remade Battle Network 1, just with some useless, yet that the same time, useful add on's. You can basically pick up a BN1 guide and use it to complete this game at a certain point. This game was just a money maker for Capcom since they always release a new BN/SF game per year, and they finished the Starforce series at 3, so they figured HEY, LETS DO A REMAKE. Bad idea, Capcom. We don't want a remake from a game that isn't even that outdated, GBA isn't that outdated, in my opinion. We can still play GBA games just as we play DS games. Even so, most remakes fail anyways. To be honest, I would have been happier with a Starforce 4. I would have liked to see where the storyline took off from the end of 3, then end it with 4.

This guide is made to tell if your opponent on Wifi is a hacker or not based on your observation skills on their abilities.

Note: I'm doing the calculations based on the cheapest costing lp of each program.
Hp + 500 (350lp) Only one, from libra noise.
Hp + 500 (450lp) Only one, from angou codes.
Hp + 500 (540lp) multiple copies available, only in GMD.
Undershirt (5lp) GMD, you're lying if you're not using it.
Airshoes (200lp) Cygnus noise. - this allow you to move over broken/empty panels.
Float shoes (150lp) Corvus noise. - this ignores panel effects.
Super armor (700lp) Taurus noise - cost too much. Warrior soul is a better choice.
Null flash (200lp) Ophicus noise - some people use it. It stops blind and panic.
Null para ( 600lp) Gemini noise - cost alot as well, but majority has it.
Null gravity (300lp) Corvus noise. - mediocre cost, stops whistle, gravity. Nice extra body to have.
Null bubble/freeze (600lp) Virgo and cancer noise - stops avalanche and bubble hooks. Decent, but costly.

Now, I heard that lame excuse saying that " I don't need to use hp 500s!" or "I found a better and less costly set up!", let me prove that wrong.

First, we all know you can ONLY get 1 hp +500 350lp and 1 hp +500 450 lp.
The next cheapest hp + 500 lp cost 540 lp.
Now, let's do some simple math.
How about:
hp + 400 and 2 hp + 50? 430 + 90 * 2 = 610lp. More than 540? yes.
hp + 400 and 1 hp + 100? 430 + 170 = 600lp. Still, no good.
hp + 300 and 4 hp + 50? 340 + 360 = 700lp. Heck, no.
hp + 300 and 2 hp + 100? 340 + 170*2 = 680. Still, no.

I can go on and on with all the combination, but the end results is still the same, the 540lp hp+ 500 is the cheapest way to increase hp, besides the 450 and 350 one.

Now, passive ability from merge out from noises:
Taurus - super armor
Ophicus - flash body
Virgo - bubble and freeze body.
Cygnus - air shoes and float shoes.
Wolf - quick gauge
Corvus: Immune to black hole, hp bug, and gravity. Does not stop whistle.

Finalize:
Black Ace: Air shoes, float shoes, quick gauge
Red joker: status guard, super armor - note: If you lost gravity body through destroy upper, whistle will still work on you. Since status guard only stops all status effect, not pulling or draging you in wind effect, unlike gravity body.

Note: Gemini noise does not give passive para body.

Now, to do some calculations.
Let's just say this person has 2980 hp. We all know that having hp + 30 or hp + 80 is impossible. We then assume that person missed 2 hp memory, having 980 in total.
this means this person has 2000 + hp. Now, this means he must have a 450lp and 350lp inside his setup, along with 2 540lp set up. this conclude to a total of 1880 lp.
A person's max lp is 1900. so:
1900 - 1880 = 20. If this person also has para body, then: 1880 + 600 = 2480.
Illegal setup being use.

Assume the case this person is using an illegal setup, is it possible? Let's do some calculations:
Hp + 500 350 * 4 = 1400. Still not possible, but possible with gravity body and other things.

Now, what is the most hp you can have, with para body/freeze/bubble body? (all cost 600)
1900 - 600 = 1300
1300 - 800 = 500lp with 1000+ hp.
500 - 430 = 70lp with 1400 + hp
Final verdict: You can only have have 2400hp with para body/freeze/bubble body equipped, and get that much hp, assuming you lack air shoes, float shoes, or other abilities. Note that this equation will change if you are any of the noise I mentioned above, besides corvus.

Also, the only abilities gotten from cards are warrior soul which gives super armor, which saves 700lp, which I decide to leave out of my equation.

Anyways, The maximum legit hp one can have, assuming without any other abilities, are:

2000hp (1880lp), which sums up to 3000 hp max, with 20lp left.

Other possible match ups:
1500hp (1340lp) + Gravity body (300lp) + 200hp (250lp) = 2700hp with gravity body and 10 lp left. Envy is correct.
1000hp (800lp) + para/freeze/bubble body (600lp) + gravity body (300lp) + 100hp (170 lp) = 2100hp with gravity and freeze/para/bubble body, with 30 lp left.
