Welcome! This is the Soul Silver Trainer Card Competition, a place for all to showcase their talents and compete in a friendly arena to see who can rise the ranks of the Trainer Card elite! The ultimate goal of this contest is to have fun, while improving your skills and talents.

In order for things to run smoothly, staff members are selected for the thread. Their job includes keeping the thread under control, acting as a third-party to dissolve any issues among participants, and - most importantly! - judging rounds. To keep things running smoothly, there are a few simple rules that you ought to be familiar with. If you're ever unsure of a rule, or about something that has happened in the thread, feel free to ask any of the staff members about it and they'll be happy to help you!

1. Cards are to be posted in .PNG format. Other file formats often reduce the quality of your card, so please save them as .PNG to ensure they look their best. If you choose to animate your card, the best quality is .GIF format. If you post your card in a different format and the quality is lowered, you may be marked down.
2. You may only enter one card per round. The first card you post in the thread once a new round is announced is the card that will be judged. For this reason, you cannot edit your card once it's entered, so be certain that you're happy with its appearance before you post it! If you submit more than one card, the first will be judged; however, if you change your entry after you originally submit it, you will be disqualified for that round.
3. Obviously, your card must fit the theme as posted by the judge. If your card does not follow the theme, you will likely be marked down or even disqualified. For this reason, always make sure you understand the theme before you submit your card. You can always ask questions if you don't understand the theme, or want clarification. Understanding the theme is a simple task, but very crucial to your success.
4. Flaming, spamming, and other disturbances will not go unpunished. Any disturbances will be handled by a judge/moderator as we see fit. If you are having an argument with someone, please move it to the PM system as to not clutter the thread. Spam posts will be reported to be removed, as will flaming and other such material. After you receive a warning, if you continue to cause problems you can be disqualified from that round, or receive a ban for future rounds depending on the severity of your offense.
5. Only give critique when the creator asks for it. A great thing about these contests is getting feedback from the judge, as well as other members who frequent the competition. As such, if you wish to get their feedback, simply ask for some critique and criticism (commonly shortened to C+C). Likewise, if you'd rather just wait for the judge to give you feedback, just kindly ask for "No C+C". If you want to give C+C to someone, make sure that you are respectful about it. If you simply bash someone's card or list a series of bad things about it, that doesn't help anyone. Be sure to be helpful and respectful. What goes around comes around, after all. (:
6. The judges are real people too. While this isn't necessarily a rule, it is a fact of life you need to acquaint yourself with and be aware of. The judges have real lives outside of Neoseeker, and as such have other commitments such as jobs, schoolwork, and family matters. As a result, sometimes judging will be a little late. We simply ask you understand that they are real people too, and that real life problems such as working, studying, and family/social commitments are more important than judging some pixels. If the judge cannot judge within a decent amount of time, a different judge will take the round.
7. Only post your own work. Submitting cards made by other people or online card generators will have you disqualified. If you use something that someone else has made, such as a template or trainer sprite, be sure you have their permission (unless it's posted in the resources section!) and give them credit when you post your card.
8. Respect everyone. Treat others how you want to be treated, and they will do the same. All other site rules apply.
