It's not often that a game developer (infact, a Nintendo developer) would literally come out and drop a massive hint like this, especially for a game as big as Zelda. Eiji Aonuma, one of the men behind the Zelda series, recently dropped into the UK to help promote The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for the DS. While there of course, he stopped by the Official Nintendo Magazine office and gave the staff the low down on what's happening with Zelda and the Wii.

While I haven't been following this too much, I do know that the most speculated thing about the next Zelda relates to that image of Link and that creature behind him that seems to resemble the Master Sword. It seems that this much could be true, but only time can tell for sure.
So we have been trying something new in terms of the structure of the Wii version of the new Zelda game this time. I am really hopeful that people will be surprised with the changes we have implemented for this Wii version.
What, exactly, does this mean? Well, if what Mr. Aonuma promises in his interview (which, by the way, will be published in ONM Issue #51, which will be out on December 18th) is true, it could mean that Zelda's gameplay might be getting a total revamp. Or, it could be just a few minor tweaks to the game's tried and true gameplay. Either way, we'll have to wait until at least 2010's E3 conference for more details.

Scans from the latest Famitsu Magazine reveal that another No More Heroes game is in the works... For the PS3 and 360.
All that's really known is that it's titled No More Heroes: Hero's Paradise, but it is rumored to be a remake of the original game, with better graphics, and more content, including a "Very Sweet Mode".
This announcement isn't surprising, Suda 51 has already shown interest in transitioning the IP to other consoles, and in Project Natal, and what better game to pioneer that than No More Heroes?

Not much else has been said about the project, and hopefully the next issue of Famitusu will elaborate on what it is, and whether it's coming to Wii or not.

As people who have been following the news would know, the new Zelda game, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, takes place 100 years after the events of The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass.

This week's Famitsu scans indicate that Niko, the pirate kid who was part of the original crew of Wind Waker, might still be alive, 100 years later. He couldn't have been much older than Link, so it's quite possible he might have lived to a ripe old age of about 115. And if Niko has lived that long, it's also possible that Link may still be alive as well.
I bet he's still a swabbie.
It is unknown what role he will play in the story, but it's nice to see a familiar face.

Spirit Tracks is set to be released this December.

When originally faced with the question of a Wii release of Resident Evil 5, the game's producer, Masachika Kawata, said that the title screen alone wouldn't be able to run on the Wii. Yet after a Q&A session with Matt Dahlgren, the product manager of RE: Darkside Chronicles, it seems that the Wii just might be capable of more than on-rail shooters and ports.

In Matt Dahlgren's exact words:

“At Resident Evil 5’s launch, it was announced that a Wii version was not technically possible. But after some of the work that Cavia has done (with RE: Darkside Chronicles), the producers of Resident Evil 5 over in Japan now think it is possible. Some of the light effects in the South America stage are pretty incredible. Whether it is going to come, I don’t know the answer to that question. But, it has been said that now at least it is possible.”

Seeing as the Resident Evil franchise reinvented itself on Nintendo's last console it does seem odd that its newer counterpart didn't receive the sequel. Whether or not Resident Evil 5 will see the light of day on the Wii is obviously a mere matter of speculation at this point, but still, it's great that we at least have the chance to realistically discuss that option now.

What do you think? Would you be interested in Resident Evil 5 on the Wii, or would you rather enjoy a 'full' experience on the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360?

Fans of visual novels for the DS might have heard of the terribly beautiful, terribly underrated Hotel Dusk: Room 215. Starring a disgraced cop Kyle Hyde(<3), said game would have you holding your DS sideways and scratching your head as you attempted to figure out its unorthodox and puzzling... puzzles... all the while unraveling a deep mystery involving murder and betrayal.

Sequel to Hotel Dusk, Last Window: Mayonaka no Yakusoku ("Last Window: Midnight Promise"), will once again star <strike>sexy</strike> lovable Mr. Hyde. Set in Los Angeles in the 80's, it will once again have you cracking mysteries. The story is stand-alone, sure to be appreciated by fans and newcomers alike.

The title comes from an in-game novel called The Last Window. Progression through the game's chapters will in turn open more chapters in the novel, eventually overlapping with the story and tying up loose ends. Also, depending how you play, the content of the novel changes, leading to an array of endings.

Being a huge fan of the first, I really can't wait. I knew there are those out there (you know who you are) who won't be able to wait either. Last Window comes out in January in Japan; no news of localization. I'll keep you posted.
My Zoo - 500 Points
This is a sequel to ‘My Aquarium’, yet another WiiWare title. As expected, in My Zoo you’ll have your own little zoo in which you can tend to various animals. The animals have their own personalities, can grow up and even get pregnant. Keep an eye on those rabbits!
Rock N’ Roll Climber – 800 Points

After being announced on the GDC a while back, we didn’t hear anything about this game, until now! Using the Wii Remote, nunchuck and balance board, you have to climb walls. Of course climbing just wouldn’t be the same without a healthy dose of rock n’ roll, so as soon as you reach the top your character will start shredding, like all serious rock climbers do.

Virtual Console Arcade

Ninja Gaiden – 800 Points

Playing as a ninja you’ll have to clean out the American town called ‘Jungle’ from mobsters and other evildoers. With secret ninja skills at your disposal, you're a virtually unstoppable fighting machine.

A Little Bit Of… Nintendo Touch Golf – 800 Points

There's been rumours of a new Wii HD console coming next year for a while now. Well, sadly, Reggie Fils-Aime, the president of Nintendo of America denied this possibility. He did not say the console wouldn't get updated in the future, though, but just that it wouldn't be next year or anytime soon. He didn't deny at all the possibilty of a Wii HD either.

The speculations about this new Wii with high defintion resulted in the console's price drop to 200$, so this may mean they'll come up with a new model. However, nothing was said about the new console supporting improved graphics or Blu-Ray movie playback.
