I think they are pretty wise about their prices. The vast majority of their games, pretty much all of them, aare rated T or rated M (Mostly M). Since children don't play many M games, they don't get it. But children also don't have jobs (Unless they live in china or something). Teenagers and adults have jobs. They like playing T and M games, so they greatly prefer the PS3 over the
wii, and willingly, and happily (I dunno if they happily xD) pay the price. So they can easily afford a PS3 with their job. Plus since it's lowered $100, kids everywhere are going to be begging their mom's again for a PS3, but tell them the price was lowered, thus convincing their parents.
The
wii however is pushed towards kids, who don't have jobs, so they can't afford the PS#, but still like the game selection of not rated M games.
It's kinda all based off age variation.
I think they are doing well for what they have so far. they sell good in my area.
