1. Eureka Seven
2. Read or Die
3. Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure

Although those are my favorites, I have seen a lot of series and would suggest any of them.
All of these series are worth seeing: (not including my favorites)
Bleach
Elfen Lied
GunXSword
Cowboy Bebop
FLCL
Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi
Strawberry Panic (This is a yuri (lesbian) anime, and isn't for everybody)
Today in Class 2-A (only 3 episodes and quite funny)
Grenadier
Hellsing
Ergo Proxy
xxxHolic
Ichigo Mashimaro
Meloncholy of Haruhai Suzimiya (EVERYONE GO GET THIS NOW!)
Azumanga Daioh
Excel Saga (this is a COMPLETELY random off the wall show which can be funny)
Final Fantasy Unlimited
Burn Up! (there is a movie, an OVA, and two series, and they are all good)
Girls Bravo
Rizelmine
Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad (This is an overlooked anime about music and is actually very good)

Re: fav. anime? - 08-11-07

I find it funny that, for the most part, the anime and manga that Americans like are those they see off of TV - there's a hell of a lot more anime than that displayed on Cartoon Network, you know. ;D

Personally, I've got to say FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell 1 and 2 (the movies, not the horrendous anime series depictions), Serial Experiments Lain, and Fist of the North Star are my favorite anime productions. Miyazaki makes some pretty good stuff too, though - I'll happily watch anything he's produced.

Re: fav. anime? - 08-11-07

Loveless has never been featured on Television. I don't think kids would read the subtitles anyways. :\ It'd be grand if there was a voice over or something.

I'd read them. Subbed anime is always better then crappy english dubbed over anime. English voice actors suck.
