Not to mention the different accents here in the U.S. You can really identify where someone's from based on their accent and rhetoric.

Example: If someone says "Y'all", it's safe to assume they're from the South. Haha, Yanks have funny accents. "I pahk'd mah cah in tha yahhd." I actually have a German foreign exchange student that my family is hosting, we're constantly giving him crap about his accent.

Edit: Hogwarts' accent is hilarious. It's such a thick, Southern accent. :3 And just to note, though I'm from the South and have lived in Oklahoma for most of my life, I lack an accent. It only shows itself every now-and-then. The best accent ever is a Louisianan accent. Oh God, it has that THICK Cajun draw to it, it's so unmistakable.

I say "y'all" to my cousins, since they're from the south, and they get so mad at me. I find it hilarious :o

One of my favorites is the Pennsylvania accent. "Yoons" instead of "Y'all" or "You guys", and hot dog rolls instead of hot dog buns. I make fun of my friends a lot for it.

? I'm technically NOT American but I DO live in Florida..which is in America. I don't consider this an accent..I talk proper, no slang or slur in my words or anything. Maybe to others this is an accent. Now that you all mention it, I wonder what I sound like to them...

californians have accents. i have cousins who live in santa clara and, instead of paulie (my name is paul), when they said it it sounded like polly

i like British accents... but not cockney ones... if there are more than one type... and Australian accents can be cool... in small doses... like it can get VERY annoying after awhile

( i had an Australian exchange student at my school who was in all of my classes and i liked his accent at first... but it got really annoying really fast)

Yes, people from America have accents, such as other English speaking countries. Some one from South Africa would have a different accent that someone in Australia or vice versa. As for me, I am from the Southern United States, Mississippi to be exact, and have a Southern accent. I've been from California to Florida, and have here many of the dialects there. They say I sound weird, but to me they sound weird.

I have an Southern English accent. Americans do have accents and I really like most of them. :D Aussie accents are a bit annoying :)
