Im just bored on new years so im making a review of one of my favorite anime shows.

Martian Successor Nadesico.

Now at first glance to most of you, you may think this is just another mech anime series....but your dead wrong. This is more taking on the stereotypical anime characters.
The main character: Akito Tenekawa for exapmple tends to be ••••ed off when fighting a similarity to Camil from Zeta Gundam.
Story: Its the year 2196 and Earth is in war with a race called the Jovian Lizards. In order to defeat them they built the Nadesico(which is a name of a flower in japaness). Of course this isn't just about fighting its morely whats going on in the Nadesico and the crew. Yurika(the female to the left of Akito) always tries to win Akitos heart, but of course of her klutzy self ends up screwing it up(i.e:episode 10) as well as Negumi also tries to win Akitos heart and Ryoko has affection to Akito as well.
Its surprisingly entertaining to watch no complex story line just watch and laugh, though at times you'd wish they did a better job.

Characters:This is just the key thing of Nadesico. The characters they usually represent other characters or just stereotyping anime.
Such as Guy who bases on classic Super Robot anime characters with side burns and all. He also bases his life on an anime called Gekigangar 3 which is a refrence of Getta Robo, Mazinger(which are both made by my favorite artist Go Nagi.)
Just lush an creative character, Brilliant! 10/10
Comedy: Nadesico has plenty of, but you have to be a mecha fan to understand most of their epsiode plots, characters, and everything else to understand most of them.
Laughable refrences, but you'd have to understand it.
Drama:Well Nadesico is on Comedy and Action side but it does have a dabble of Drama, such as the end of course which is a nice touchie warm ending.
very light drama not enough to explain well. 3/10
Action:Nadesico is heavy weight on comedy action as well to though fight seens tend to end pretty fast its still cool to watch especially Gekigangar 3.
not enough for hard core mech fans, but just enough to suite them.

Voice acting:Also they did a nice job on Yurikas voice is cute and bubbly while Riru is more shy quite(but tends to call her teammates baka), Izumi is sorta Dark and rasp which suits her characteristics. Hikaru is cheerie and bubbly. All in all the characters well characteristics fit very well into the voiceacters.(accept for Akitos)

7.3/10:A good anime show to watch but not entirely.
Facts:*They have also made a movie known as Martian Successor Nadesico the Black Prince though the title seems dark it still is hilarious.
*After the movie this series became popular and Akito landed in Animag as 9th favorite anime character of 98 and Yurika as 7th place of female.
*They have also made a few Nadesico games and have landed into SRW in 01.
*Guys japaness voice acters also does Domon Kashus from G Gundam.
