Gamestop (has this ever happend 2 u?)

OK so 2day I go to Gamestop in my mall to get Okami for the Wii. I ask the guy if they have it in stock so I dont have to waste time looking for it. He says "did you look" and I was like "uh.....yea". And then he goes and gets it and its all good. Then he takes the box thats outside and puts a disk from this paper package or somthing, i couldnt really see. He just puts the game in the bag quickly. I realized when I left the store and looked at the game, that it wasn`t in any packaging or whatever. And you know how new games usually come with like 2-3 booklets, it only came with 1. I purchased it new (it was 39.99 new) and theres a sticker on it that says "new", but it looked used. Did I get ripped off or am i just over reacting about this? And has this ever happened to any1?

Oh man, I hate when they do that. I usually try to get games before the allow people to open them. They let employees check out games then sell it as new. I worked thee for a month so I know. Most likely yours is used.

yea gamestop does that to save space, they only need to store the game discs...

i know it can be slightly annoying when you get a used case with a new game... but in the end all that matters is the game... right?

As long as the game works there's nothing to cry about. Unless you rather play with the booklets instead.

Edit: To hell with you all. I would want my booklets too. Because, damnit, if he bought it at Wal-Mart for the same price, he'd be getting more.

Here is the deal:

-One copy of each game is opened so that people know we have it. If it ain't gutted, we don't have it.
-We usually have unopened back stock copies. If you get the last copy, you get the opened game.
-We do check out merchandise, but managers should not allow employees to take out New Releases, and most don't let employees sign out new games, period. Therefore we have to wait until we get a used copy.
-The case should have some sort of seal on it (like a clear sticker on the place where you open the box) so that you may have a chance to return it as long as it isn't broken. If it doesn't have it, the employees are not doing their job.

You got the last copy i think you see everytime when someone gets the last copy of the game the game box on the shelf is used. So they removed the disk from the case to make it displayable and not stealable. now for the booklets i don't know
