It would drain my life. It's really just like babysitting and pretending you're smarter then everyone. The people who wanna be mods have too much time on their hands or just want to abuse power.

Many people think that becoming a staff member is boring, but for people like me who really have a PASSION for communications and leadership should be overjoyed with a position. I sure was when I got mine. It IS a lot of work, though; you'll almost become paranoid about everything you write, making sure it's PERFECT so you won't lose your position.

While you obviously shouldn't go and ask a mod "i can has staffburger??", it's still a WONDERFUL idea to try to really contribute to this site and be kind to new users. That stuff should keep piling up until a mod goes up to YOU and asks YOU if YOU wanna become staff.

Now, if you're already busy, I can understand that. But as a gamer, it still is among the most fun leadership positions you can get. Besides, the color's smexy.

i would because i feel i would bring new ideas to the table as inforce the rules aready in place or i would like to inform the masses about upcomeing evens and no offence but make all my articals important such as englan is trying to get gameing a olymic sport but somehow ower wrighters missed that

i have been mods on a couple of other sights, its a fun job-responsibility, so i would say yes i would be a mod here if i could

Nah. Being in staff is a responsibility and I don't think I could make way for it unless I'm on vacation. I'm better off being a dedicated average member to the site then a staff member. I'm just not up to it.

That's not completely true. The job is for the people on the site that actually want to take the responsibility to do what most others wouldn't: maintain a site like this one. Wanting to abuse power may be a reason to some, but the people that appoint staff members can spot that quality a mile away. Being a leader doesn't mean you have too much time on your hands, it means you're willing to step up and, well, lead.

They don't HAVE to do it, they choose to. They go out of their way to provide you a site such as this, and moderate it to where it's the friendliest and safest, as well as cleanest possible. They COULD just slack off once they have the job, but they don't. They work at it.

It's a lot of behind-the-scenes work, and it hardly comes with a grateful attitude from the community, but they do it anyway.

Before jumping to conclusions, walk a mile in their shoes. I lead Majestic Tragedy, so I can identify.
