Pokemon Diamond & Pearl : Guide to catching Mesprit/Cresselia
Many people don’t know how to catch them so here it is a simple technique to catching Mesprit/Cresselia.
First off you have to stock up at the mart I suggest buying the following items :
Dusk Ball *
Quick Ball *
Ultra Ball
Any type of Repel
* If it's night buy Dusk Balls if it's day buy Quick Balls
<IMPORTANT> If you own a Pokemon with Mean Look put it 1st in your party! If not go catch one i suggest a Golbat or a wobbuffet with the ability : shadow tag.
Now you have to initiate the events.
Initiating the Mesprit event
Initiating the Mesprit event is quiet simple. After rescuing the legendary trio from the clutches of Team Galaxy and after calming Dialga/Palkia simply go to lake Verity and surf into the lake. In the center is a cave containing Mesprit
Initiating the Cresselia event
Initiating the Cresselia event is a little more challenging. You must first obtain the National Dex by seeing every pokemon in the Sinnoh Dex. Once the National Dex is obtained you must go see the sailor that brings you to Iron Island in Canalave Town. He will talk about his son and then ask if you'd like to go to Full Moon Island. There is nothing on this Island but a forest in which you will find Cresselia.
Now that the events are triggered they will appear on your Poketch. All you need to do is simply go to Route 214 near and Valor Lakefront indicated by the red mark on the map below.
*SAVE THE GAME*
Now simply go up and down from Route 214 to Valor Lakefront until you and Mesprit/Cresselia are on the same route. Use a Repel and run into the grass.
IF YOU ARE NOT USING QUICK BALLS
Once you find them use Mean Look and begin lowering your opponents health. When it's in the red either use a status condition or throw a Dusk/Ultra Ball at it.
IF YOU ARE USING QUICK BALLS
Begin with Mean Look and then throw 4 Quick balls. If non of them catch Mesprit/Cresselia then begin lowering its health and catch it using Ultra Balls and status conditions.
