Usually, platforming style games don't involve a whole lot of collecting and are usually just a race-to-the-finish type of game. Though Super Paper Mario is a platforming style game, it has a great deal of collecting in it just like an RPG such as the past Paper Mario games.

One of the many things you will find your self compiling are the beings in the game called Pixls, small, floating creatures that will help you through your journey. Some of these Pixls are needed to complete your quest, and some you need to complete a special task to find.

This guide will help you find the hidden Pixls in Flipside.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD

--Barry--

You meet Barry fairly early in the game. You find him outside of Fort Francis hiding behind a bush and after you find him in his not-so-clever hiding spot he proceeds to tell you some hints on how to get to Francis. After you defeat Francis and save Tippi, Barry offers to join your party.

With Barry on your team, you will find a high boost of defense. He can shield Mario enemy projectiles and even defeat enemies by activating his shield while in close range.

--Piccolo--

To obtain Piccolo, one must head through a string of tedious events and obtain a few different things just to get this Pixl. First you start by placing the 6th pure heart in the tower, then you must talk to Merlee about her problem, then go talk to Merluvlee and then she will send you to talk to Bestovious, then Watchitt, then Merlumina, and back to Merluvlee and you will finally get the Random House key. After you obtain the key go to the locked house in Flopside and open the door to get Piccolo!

For all that you go through, Piccolo isn't really the biggest reward you could get. His powers are to play music which can cure some status problems. He can also trigger in game events by playing his music next to something that has a symbol on it, which is really just a picture of him.

--Dashell--

Dashell may be one of the toughest of the 4 secret Pixls that you have the chance to unlock. What you have to do sounds simple, but is not. You have to beat the Pit of 100 Trials. I myself have not even beat the pit, for it is a huge challenge.

What Dashell does would come in handy, but is not needed for everyone. He makes you go fast. Not just a little speed boost, he will make you go much faster.

--Tiptron--

After you beat the game, you loose Tippi. Some people may like this, for Tippi was quite annoying sometimes, but others may miss the floating butterfly thing. Well, too bad for those who want Tippi back, you can't get her again. BUT you can get the next best thing, Tiptron. You can buy Tiptron off Francis for just 999 coins if you revisit Francis.

Tiptron is the same exact thing as Tippi, except with a few different looks. Some will want to get the new and improved Tiptron, and some may not.
