With games, it depends. If its to make the game better or to fix something (eg. Little Big Planet) then yes because they are making the game better.
But if its like the wait people in PAL go through with every game then no, its not. We shouldnt have to wait that long to get a game, when the rest of the world has had it for ages! Take Pokemon Battle Revolution as an example. I know that game is old, but I like to use it as an example, if you dont know why then you soon will. Japan got this game December 14, 2006, then america June 25, 2007, now that may seem long, but compare it to Austailia who got it November 22, 2007 and Europe who got it December 7, 2007 then it seems like nothing! Why should I have to get a game almost a year after its release in Japan?! It only takes 2 weeks, if that, on a ship to get from Japan to England and if the different languages of the game were made at the same time, there would be practically no delays, mabey a week, even less if the game was printed in its counrty of destination (eg. all the games that were in english would be made in England) then it could be made a worldwide release date!
In life, the only delay I can think of is the SAT's results, were you would wait months for your test results, but they were scraped...
