I'd say no.
Note these are my opinions if you don't like it that's fine with me.
This game is considered a rare gem among Kirby games. Sadly its a let down
The gameplay over all feels slow(or slower in this case) Kirby's copy abilities are almost useless.(with broom being the weakest) The only useful one is Fire(Burn in japanese) Kirby. Which gives you a light boost to get to the goal.
Speaking of copy abilities doesn't this library seem offaly small to you
stone
fire
spark
needle
parosal
broom
thats it and the nes game had a multitude of abilities. Parosal, Fire, Beam, Crash, Throw,Parosal, Needle, Stone its just a disappointment
If you've played Kirby 64 you'd soon realise after watching the intro cut scene that the game uses the characters from 64(or 64 used the characters in dreamland 3 so to say)
So if you've played Kirby 64 you'd probably know who the boss is already. This game feels way to short as well as there is only 5 worlds but 6 courses giving 30.
On the light side i'd give the graphics department an "ehh" main reason is that they went for a crayon style color scheme making it feel like a childeren's coloring book with vivid colors, but the down side is the sprites feel as if they were from a Gameboy game. As kirby's sprite is very similar in size shape, and pixlation.
Also there are certain objectives in this game. Certain characters are just solid color showing how lazly they slapped the game together with certain sprites.
Kirby's animal pals are here, but they won't change much in gameplay. If you are just to play the game you'd most likely choose Rick as he runs very fast making the game feel at least the way the GB felt.
These are all of my opinions i
