What a coincidence, just finished the first episode of Bakemonogatari. Not bad; a little odd, but that's good once in a while. Animation is really pretty; hopefully the production values stay consistent.

Eh, dubbed anime doesn't seem funny to me.

If your willing to watch subbed anime, some funny ones are Trigun (1st arc), Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Toradora!, and Seto no Hanayome.
