So tell me forum, there seems to be a huge difference in the way people pronounce these years: others say "two thousand (and) twelve", while others, like me, say "twenty twelve". Which way do you say these years and do you have a reason for saying them that way?
Personally, I think it sounds much better when you say "twenty twelve" and it's more faithful to the way we've been saying the past years too: no one called 1985 "one thousand nine hundred and eighty five". Are the people gonna talk about "two thousand seventy two" and so on in the future?
