Wi-Fi...I will miss you dearly...Please read.

Well, folks, I'm afraid my Wi-Fi days have come to an end. All those memories...fightin' ''ninjas'' over AC:WW last summer...JUST started Pokemon Diamond with Wi-Fi in April...MKDS...:( Maybe...this can be avoided...see...my Internet was down a few days ago. My router was actin' funny. So, my mom got a MODEM instead. Thing is, the modem says:
''DSL2+ Router" at the bottom of it. Routers have antennaes stickin' from it, right? ...This one doesn't...BUT! Somehow, someway I'm gettin' access points! :) Only problem is...I can't find the WEP Key, and it isn't on the bottom of the MODEM. Please, if anybody can help me find it through my PC, please...help. Thank you. :)

So your new router has no WiFi? You must've found another access point from your neighbour's router. Ask them for their WEP key.

If your router has WiFi or you want to check if it does:

Or under your router there's a set of numbers like an IP. type the numbers onto your browser address bar (with the dots). A pop up will show up asking for Username and Password. Those are also under your router. It's usually defaulted to 'Admin' as the Username and 'password' as the Password.

After that go to WiFi settings (depending on the router make) and enable WiFi by clicking on the button under the page. The WEP key should also be on the same page. If you have nothing there to do with WiFi then your router has no WiFi.

It migt not be the same for you because I own a Netgear router which is different to the other routers available on the market.

No, no, and no.
It says Modem + Router. It doesn't have to have antennae to be wireless. Check and see if it is wireless, and if so it's your access point that you're finding.
In the event that it is your modem that you're picking up, you can configure the WEP key by accessing the control panel for the modem/router. Type your local IP into your browser (this is usually a number starting with 192.168., but it can differ). Upon finding the control panel, search around for how to format the WEP key.

If it is your neighbors, then you'll just have to ask them what their WEP key is and if you can use their wireless internet.

You know you could do what I did b4 I got a wireless router. Go around your neighborhood and look for random wireless point that don't involve WEPs. heck I can get about 4 of 'em from just sitting here.
