Multi-Platform Online Play! Wouldn't it be awesome?

Wouldn't it be awesome if(for example) Bungie decides to spread halo across all platforms and they could connect with each other online?

Team battles would be interesting , Xbox360 and Ps3 users could fight on the ground , while Wii and DS users could fight in the sky and in the fields , sniping with dead aim accuracy.

It would bring so much more strategy to the game , and make it more accessible to everyone.:D

Wow thats weird i was thinking about that today except about Guitar Hero instead, becasue i see my sister play Wi-Fi but barely get player to play.
So i thought about that

That would be pretty awesome. I know it won't happen though, because Wii owners have a huge advantage over 360/PS3 users.

Believe it or not, both Shadowrun and Final Fantasy XI used multi-platform online play, and neither of those were exactly huge hits. So I don't think that another one will come out any time soon.

BTW, isn't it like that with EA's games?

They kinda have that. Several Dreamcast games were. So are Halo 2, Shadowrun, and FFXI.
