Coolza: Don't assume everyone is ignorant about OSes.
Mac for video/audio editing.
Linux for servers.
Windows for home use.
And Windows was free for me, if you know what I mean. Your high cost argument just went out the window(LOLPUN). But really, I'm perfectly happy with XP Pro. Apple has a couple of things that make networking easy but it also has some dumbass things that just put it on par with Windows. They all have their benefits, as well as problems. Windows XP Pro SP2C runs well for me and I get what I need done without any problems at all. I'll keep happily using it at home until I decide to start doing video or audio editing and it's something very important. In which case, I'll dual-boot OSX.
