Do you ever give people presents for their birthday or for Christmas? If so, what do you normally get them?
For Christmas this year, I have ten slots open for present recipients. Five of them are reserved for my top
FC friends, so if you want one (given through Itunes), I suggest you start being REALLY nice to me :D. Anyway, here are the five big ones right now.
My youth pastor's sons: These guys always have challenged me when getting them something on the GCN. Since they're sorta religious, I have to use my critical thinking skills do decide what they'll like and what they'll despise. It's actually pretty fun :)
My 18-year-old GF: Sorry, but I just HAD to bring this up. Since she was one of the first people in my life that I got non-gaming presents for (all the previous girls I dated were hardcore gamers), this was also a challenge for me. In fact, you may remember my "ritzy date with a college girl" last November, where I ended up getting her a toothbrush for her B-day.
My Friend Jake: Sure, he's three years younger than me, but I still enjoy shopping for him. He always has really ambitious plans for system purchases, so I can always count on getting him something new. Plus, I've known him since I was in 3rd grade, so I have a TON of experience to draw upon when deciding what he likes.
My cousin: Now, this is interesting. This is a girl who's only in 3rd grade, so I have to not just choose a product that reflects a franchise that she likes, but also choose something fun that we can go multiplayer with through
DS Download Play.
How about you? Are you into the "art of presents"? Believe it or not, it's a VERY hard skill to master: Making it be the right price so you don't intimidate or tick off the person, making it be something that they like but still haven't already purchased, how you should wrap it, ect.
